Welcome to Friday, folks! I’m on a girls’ trip to Belize this week with my mom and sister and can’t wait to share highlights, recommendations, and tips and with you soon. In the meantime, here’s a new round of things I was loving as I prepared for the trip!
1.) Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby on Netflix
My friend and fellow traveler Emily and I discovered “Amazing Hotels” during a lazy girls’ weekend and immediately blew through two episodes. This show has it all: spectacular, bucket list hotels in gorgeous locations; fascinating glimpses behind the curtain into what it takes to cater to guests’ every need (the logistics in the first episode alone are mind-boggling); and thoughtful examinations of the impact these hotels have had on their local communities. I’ve loved each episode in different ways and have definitely added a couple new places to our travel list!
2.) Food Network Magazine‘s International March Issue

I really enjoy receiving my Food Network Magazine every month, but I get particularly excited when they release an issue focused on international cuisines. This one features dishes from at least twenty-six countries from Australia to Vietnam, including jerk chicken, lamb souvlaki, shrimp pad thai, and saang paneer. There’s even a page of international cocktails. I can’t wait to start trying out recipes when I get home.
3.) This guy.
Allow me to introduce you to my writing assistant and best buddy, Riley. He’s our ten-year-old Shetland sheepdog (sheltie) who keeps me company and forces me to get out of the apartment for walks when I would otherwise bury myself in writing. He’s a sweet guy with a face that makes me melt, and I’m so grateful that M brought him into my life. Even though I’m writing this before we leave for our trip, I already know I’m missing him!

Thanks for spending some time with me today! I wish you and yours a fantastic weekend!
See you Monday!
XO,
Gwen
