Hi, everyone!
I can’t believe that this day has finally come! After two years of hard work developing a strategy and design, migrating back-end systems, building completely new templates and pages, reformatting over 165 blog posts, redesigning, problem-solving, testing and fixing things post-launch, and so much more, I’m overjoyed to finally unveil the completely new, completely improved Full Life, Full Passport.
The new site makes significant improvements in aesthetics and usability, with more dynamic visuals, engaging copy, and a sleeker design. And it’s all long overdue; the last time I changed the look and feel of Full Life, Full Passport was in late 2019 when I updated the general theme from this…
… to this! (RIP old site, we knew ye far too long!)
It was a big upgrade at the time, but as the years went by the look of the site began to get a bit stale. The main page also failed to properly emphasize what we do best here at Full Life, Full Passport: planning unforgettable, completely customized vacations for travelers of all ages, interests, and budgets, all over the world.
I couldn’t be prouder of this fourth iteration of Full Life, Full Passport, and while I certainly put in my fair share of hours on the project (remember the aforementioned reformatting of 165+ blog posts?!), the vast majority of the credit for how amazing the site looks now goes to my incredible and incredibly talented husband, M. Not only did he lend so much creativity and expertise to this endeavor, but he built a ton of what you see on the main pages of this website from scratch.
(It helps to know people. It helps even more to be married to your biggest advocate and supporter, who just happens to own a boutique digital marketing agency that also builds excellent websites.)
I couldn’t be more grateful for all the time and effort he put into this project, much of which happened at night after he had already worked a long day as a business owner and dad.
So What's New?
There’s so much to see and explore on the revamped site! In addition to plenty of new copy, photos, icons, and other design and navigational elements, here are some of my favorite new features that I hope you’ll enjoy:
Gorgeous, eye-catching videos.
The main and vacation planning pages have both gotten a huge upgrade with wanderlust-inducing videos and graphics of some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
A traveler photo collage.
Perhaps the most fun part of this redesign process has been gathering photos of my vacation planning clients on their trips! I’ve created a great collage of my travelers to showcase some of the amazing destinations I’ve helped people visit (and how much fun they had there).
Big, beautiful photos.
We’ve adjusted the top of each page and blog post so that the images are no longer obscured by an annoying white bar holding the article or page title. Now, the images are bigger and help get you excited for the content to come, but with an overlay that makes the blog title easy to read at the same time.
No more side bar.
We eliminated all the noise on the right side of each blog post so that you can focus on the content and photos you’re actually there to see!
A new footer.
Instead of a boring green blob at the bottom of each page, you’ll now find a helpful and attractive footer with relevant links and information.
So go ahead – take the new site out for a spin! Poke around the new pages, revisit old blog posts, and start getting inspired for your next vacation. It’s easier than ever, and I can’t wait for you to see everything we’ve been working on for so long.
